I've recruited for 5 high growth tech startups and have been the first and only person working in recruitment in 4 of those. I setup the process, work closely with Founders, executives and hiring managers to find out what they really want and need, create a job description and title together, and tweak everything as we go through the journey of finding the right candidate. My experience has been focused on recruiting across software engineering, design, sales and product as well as marketing and operations. I was working in recruitment in Sydney, Australia from 2011 until 2019, first in tech focused recruitment agencies and then contracting in internal recruitment. Since then I've done diversity sourcing remotely for a US based company with various tech and startup clients.
